Cardiologist Dr. Daniela Capriles works at Emerson Hospital. Her clinical interests include heart failure, cholesterol management, arrhyth- mias, and coronary artery disease. Dr. Capriles received her medical degree from the Central University of Venezuela. She completed her residency in internal medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and her fellowship in cardiology at Saint Vincent Hospital. She is a trilingual and board-certified in both internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. “I’m part of an outstand- ing team,” Dr. Capriles says. “I enjoy working with my patients to help keep them active and doing what they love to do. Cardiology enables me to truly get to know my patients and, using the latest treatments, help them live a full life.”

What is your typical process for working with a new patient?

When seeing a new patient I take my time to share my knowledge so that we can make decisions together.

What advice would you give a patient looking to find a provider in your specialty?

Looking for a cardiologist is like looking for a long term relationship; there has to be trust and confidence that decisions made are for the patient's best interest

What inspired your passion for your profession?

I love what I do specially cardiology gives me the opportunity to change people's life and help them live longer with a good quality of life

Patients have thanked me for being very caring; thorough; pleasant; with excellent explanations and follow-through.
