Dr. Taylor and Dr. Sullivan are board certified plastic surgeons in the Boston Mass and Cambridge area. They provide reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery to women, men and children at Mount Auburn Hospital. Known for a commitment to care with compassion, Mount Auburn Hospital is one of the smaller Harvard teaching hospitals, providing excellent care with a very personal feel. Dr Sullivan and Dr Taylor are faculty members at Harvard Medical School, and have found the environment at Mt Auburn to be the perfect fit for their practice. With exceptional nursing, and views of The Charles River and the Boston skyline, patients recover in the privacy of a calm and tranquil environment. Since returning to the Boston area, Dr. Taylor and Dr. Sullivan have each year been named amongst “Best Plastic Surgeons” in Boston by Boston Magazine and Castle Connolly. They often operate together to ensure safety, efficiency, and the best possible plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery for each patient. While the title ”Boston’s Best Plastic Surgeon” is claimed by many, we hope our practice provides an unusually thoughtful and honest approach to patient care.
Dr. Helena Taylor performed surgery on my Fibrous Dysplasia. She was a kind, wonderful person from the beginning. She spent enough time, thoroughly explaining the procedure, & making me feel comfortable and confident. She went above & beyond to be very accommodating for my schedule. She performed the surgery flawlessly, & it turned out better than expected. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Taylor is wonderful and made me feel completely comfortable with a procedure I needed for a long time but was scared to get. She very clearly cares about the lives of her patients and their goals for their body. I trust her 100% and that’s why even though I was terrified, i went through with this procedure with her. It went smoothly, the rest of the surgical staff were very nice and accommodating and I am so happy I finally did this!
"Dr. Taylor was amazing! She is so humble which is such a redeeming quality that you won’t find in many other surgeons. I was beyond nervous for my closed reduction nasal surgery, had it been another surgeon, I might have run out of the hospital! I couldn’t be more thankful for Dr. Taylor. If I could give her one hundred stars, I would!"

Fat grafting has become an increasing part of our aesthetic and reconstructive practice. This less invasive procedure can have dramatic results for patients with radiation induced asymmetries, traumatic defects, and aesthetic concerns. As some of the earliest adopters of this technique for craniofacial deformities, we feel comfortable offering this procedure to a wide variety of patients, and suspect it will supplant some of the older more invasive techniques.
We strive to be honest and thoughtful in our patient care. While some centers may hope to maximize patient throughput, the goal of our practice is to provide individualized care, which includes a careful patient evaluation, thorough discussion of the risks and benefits, and customized surgical treatment. We see ourselves as physicians first and foremost, here to improve the lives of our patients. For larger procedures patients will often benefit from having two attending plastic surgeons operate together to optimize their outcome.
Get several opinions. For many patients there is no "text book answer." So it makes sense to hear what different people might do.
