Dr. Sereno grew up in the Boston area and has been practicing in Malden for 25 years. She is dedicated to her patients and the community she serves. As a family medicine provider who also delivers babies, Dr. Sereno believes that medical care needs to take care of the entire person, in the context of their family. Sometimes this means providing preventative care such as shots, cholesterol monitoring, diabetes treatment, etc. But sometimes it means helping a person to deal with a terminal illness or making decisions that improve the quality of their life.
Dr. Sereno loves getting to know everything about her patients and helping to coordinate all of their care. ìI love to watch my patients grow up and experience changes in their lives ñ from a baby I delivered who is now going to college to a patient I have known for a long time who is getting ready to retire. I have even delivered babies for patients whose diapers I have changed!
Dr. Sereno runs established family medicine practices of Tufts Medical Center Community Care in Malden and Stoneham, and delivers babies at MelroseWakefield Hospital. She has been named a Boston magazine Top Doc and was awarded the MA Family Physician of the Year award in 2014. She has also been recognized with a Teaching Citation for Excellence in Teaching at Tufts University School of Medicine.
