What inspired your passion for your profession?

I am passionate about helping people who have been diagnosed with cancer. I want to do everything possible to not only get them through their diagnosis, but also to maintain their quality of life and well-being. I am driven to provide the best possible treatments available and to research new and innovative approaches to improving care and saving lives. Ultimately my passion is to eliminate suffering and have a world free from cancer.

What treatments are you most excited to offer?

I’m excited to offer patients the latest advances in breast care including oncoplastic surgery and lymphatic reconstruction. We provide care in a highly-specialized, multidisciplinary breast center with innovative therapeutic techniques, advanced diagnostics, and leading clinical trials allowing patients to have the best possible outcomes. We take a team-based, supportive approach and have nurse navigators to coordinate care, making it easier for patients to get all the services they need in an efficient and effective manner.

What advice would you give a patient looking to find a provider in your specialty?

It’s important to have the right team. Ideally your surgeon should be a certified and experienced specialist in the field, working in an accredited center of excellence with a multidisciplinary breast cancer team. All of your questions should be answered, and your priorities and values should be incorporated into the treatment plan. The surgeon-patient relationship is an important one, and you deserve to have the right fit as you go through the treatment journey.
