Parents, Listen: There's No Such Thing as Too Busy to Use the Car Seat

Parents, Listen: There’s No Such Thing as Too Busy to Use the Car Seat. There’s overparenting, and then there’s the other extreme. A new study published in the journal Pediatrics suggests that when some parents are crunched for time and attempting to squeeze in a car full of kids, they don’t always squeeze in booster seats, which not only breaks the law but endangers their children’s lives. And sadly, this is no small percentage of parents, either: The study found that more than 30 percent of parents don’t ensure that their kids sit in a booster when they are riding with other drivers, and 45 percent of parents don’t make their kids use one when they are riding with peers that aren’t using one. Parents — there’s a car seat law for a reason. Keep your kids safe! [NECN | Pediatrics]
