National Magazine’s and Website’s Fitness Events
Last month, Self magazine hosted one of their branded “Workouts in the Park” on the UMass Amherst campus, which featured CrossFit, Pilates, and yoga. Since then, we’ve heard word of a number of other national magazines and websites that are permeating into our city to host events. Clearly, they know that when it comes to health and fitness, Boston is a hot market.
Below, a few events to keep on your radar.
Runner’s World is hosting a training event and gear clinic Wednesday, May 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Marathon Sports (671 Boylston Street). Reps says that the event will include a training run (three, five, and eight mile loops beginning and ending at Marathon Sports) and a clinic hosted by the Runner’s World gear editor.
PopSugar and Simple Skin Care are teaming up to host a free “Passport to Healthy Skin” event May 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Faneuil Hall. Attendees will walk away with a gift bag.
