H2K Happy Kids Fitness Studio in Sudbury is opening a second location in Arlington this September.

The new location—called Ready, Set, Kids!—will combine the gym’s signature fitness offerings with educational programming through partnerships with local and national organizations.

“This location is going to be super special because we will be joining the Yak Academy and the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston [JCC] to create a family enrichment center,” says company President Julia Walderzak.

In addition to kids fitness classes such as Zumba, yoga, and kickboxing, the studio will provide world language classes and programs for parents of children under five. Yak Academy instructors will use song, movement, and other activities to introduce children to Spanish, Mandarin, or French. JCC programming will include pre- and post-natal workshops and infant feeding support.

Walderzak says the studio intends to add cardio circuit training and cardio hip hop to its future offerings. The company is also in talks with a Washington-based toy company to add kid-sized kettlebells and weights to the mix. Teen fitness classes in kickboxing, yoga, and Zumba will be available as well.

Ready, Set, Kids! will host open house sessions on September 4 from 4-7 p.m. and September 7 from 12-3 p.m. 264 Broadway, Arlington, ready-set-kids.com.
