Dunkin’ Donuts Introduces Almond Milk to Select Stores

Don't worry, it includes all of Eastern Massachusetts.

Dunkin’ Donuts announced Thursday that it will now be offering almond milk at select locations across the nation, including all of Eastern Massachusetts and even the newly opened Los Angeles store.

Reps say they’ve received a lot of requests for a non-dairy option, so they are finally accommodating those customers through a new partnership with California-based Blue Diamond. Unfortunately, the only almond milk option will be the “sweetened, vanilla flavored Almond Breeze Almond Milk.”

While that’s not ideal for those of us who prefer unsweetened, just getting almond milk in stores at all is a good sign of chains adapting to the needs and wants of its customers. Starbucks, on the other hand, offers a non-dairy soy milk option that is also flavored and slightly sweet (usually vanilla). Beggars can’t be choosers, I guess.

The reason Dunkin’ chose almond milk, reps say, is because its “calcium rich and a good source of vitamin D, E, and A.”
