He made the pledge while filming Ted 2 in town this past summer.

Mark Wahlberg, 43, is one lucky man. Yes, he’s a Hollywood A-lister whose career has spanned across multiple genres: music, modeling, and acting. He has a gorgeous wife and family, and you can even see his antics on reality TV. But there’s one other thing that Marky Mark has that many men his age covet: a full head of hair. His thick, barely receding locks are a part of his trademark good looks. But now, Wahlberg is going bald—for charity.

Wahlberg has announced that he is shaving his head once he finishes all the filming for his upcoming movies Ted 2, Deepwater Horizon, and Daddy’s Home. His wife, Rhea Durham, says that she’s happy he’s buzzing it all off. She says with his current cut that he looks like “an old Harry [Styles] from One Direction.” We’d take that as a compliment.

While filming Ted 2, Wahlberg met up with One Mission cofounders Ari and Ashley Haseotes in Boston, and recorded his pledge to shave his head to “help One Mission do whatever it takes to get kids through cancer.”

In the video, Wahlberg also puts other celebs on blast, challenging “every other major celebrity or sports star in the world” to go bald “for the kids.” He gives a special nod to Pats tight end Rob Gronkowski, who has participated in the “Kid’s Cancer Buzz-Off” at Gillette for the past three years.
