Mass General is tops once again.

U.S. News and World Report released its annual rankings Tuesday, and Mass General took the top spot. The Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital was ranked No. 2 last year.

U.S. News evaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals for the 2015-16 Best Hospitals rankings, and only 15 made the Honor Roll.

This comes as no surprise, as Mass General has been ranked at or near the top for the last five years. However, what is surprising is the leap made by Brigham and Women’s.

The Brigham was ranked the No. 6 best hospital in the country, moving up from the No. 9 spot last year.

Also notable: Mass Eye and Ear was ranked the No. 1 Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) hospital in the nation.

We are lucky to have these world class hospitals right in our backyard.
