Dr. George King

Claim to fame: King is the chief scientific officer at Joslin Diabetes Center.

What he ate: A whole wheat bagel, orange slices, and smoked salmon.

Why he chose it: I enjoy these fruits, smoked salmon, and good quality breads and bagels. They contain large amounts of fiber, carbohydrates, proteins, and [are] low fat,” King says. “They’re filling for the whole day, even if I am too busy and don’t have time for lunch. The amount may sound like a lot, but I exercise in the morning and start my work around 5:30 or 6 a.m.”
