Run a Little and Drink a Lot at This Race
Harpoon and Social Boston Sports know what the people want: beer, with a small side of running.
On Saturday, April 23, the companies are hosting Beer Run Boston, a thinly veiled excuse to drink beer and still feel like you’re working out.
The oh-so-taxing one-mile race will have teams of up to five runners stop at four different bars and restaurants—Sports Grille Boston, Coogan’s, Central Wharf Co., and Sterling’s—along the way, drinking a Harpoon Take 5 and completing a “small challenge” at each stop. In essence, it’s a pub crawl with more spandex.
Participants can sign up individually or as a group, with each runner paying $45. Registration is open until the day before the race, giving you plenty of time to adopt a rigorous training schedule beforehand. Get ready to run drink.
$45, registration begins at 11:30 a.m., 4/23. Starts at Sports Grille Boston, 132 Canal St., Boston. Register at socialbostonsports.com.
