Here’s Your 2016 Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series Schedule

Free fitness returns to Boston parks starting June 6.

It’s almost that time of year again: When the city is flooded with so many free fitness offerings, canceling your gym membership grows awfully tempting. Adding to that temptation is the Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series schedule, which is officially out for your viewing pleasure.

Co-sponsored by the Boston Public Health Commission, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, this series brings a wide variety of classes to parks around the city, with at least one every day of the week. Classes kick off June 6, and run through September 2. This summer’s schedule includes:

Mondays:

  • 6 p.m. Zumba at Christopher Columbus Park
  • 6 p.m. yoga at Dorchester Park
  • 6:30 p.m. salsa at Blackstone Square

Tuesdays:

  • 10 a.m. kids’ fitness at Billings Park
  • 10 a.m. gentle yoga at Symphony Park
  • 12:15 p.m. Lunchtime Groove (stretching and cardio dance) at Elmhurst Park
  • 6 p.m. yoga at Franklin Square
  • 6 p.m. Zumba at Gertrude Howes Playground

Wednesdays:

  • 10 a.m. gentle yoga at Christopher Columbus Park
  • 6 p.m. family Zumba at LoPresti Park
  • 6:30 p.m. family fitness at Walker Playground
  • 6:30 p.m. line dancing at Franklin Park

Thursdays: 

  • 10 a.m. kids’ fitness at Moakley Park
  • 10 a.m. gentle yoga at Almont Park
  • 10 a.m. tai chi at Symphony Park
  • 6 p.m. yoga at the Boston Common Frog Pond
  • 6:30 p.m. Evening Groove (stretching and cardio dance) at Elmhurst Park

Fridays:

  • 6:30 a.m. bootcamp at Christopher Columbus Park
  • 1 p.m. yoga at Clifford Park

Saturdays: 

  • 9:15 a.m. yoga at Franklin Park

Sundays: 

  • 2 p.m. yoga at Jamaica Pond’s Pinebank Promontory
