Just this morning, we wrote about the Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series schedule for this year. We’re happy to say it doesn’t end there. The Prudential Center and The Street at Chestnut Hill are both returning to the free fitness bonanza this summer—allowing you to shop, then drop.

The Prudential Center

The Pru is bringing back its successful Fit on the Garden series this summer, this time with a major focus on yoga. Each Wednesday at 6 p.m., from July 6 through August 31, the Pru will host a free outdoor yoga class on its lawn, taught by a different instructor each week. Register for classes in advance here.

The Street at Chestnut Hill

The shopping complex will host five free classes each week, beginning in early June. Options include:

  • Pilates & Sculpt: Healthworks is sponsoring this yoga-Pilates fusion class, focusing on common problem areas like abs, glutes, and triceps. Classes will be Wednesdays at 10 a.m., starting June 1. Register through MoveWith.
  • Yoga on the Green: Starting June 5, there will be a yoga class on the lawn each Sunday at 10 a.m. Mats will be supplied if necessary. Register for classes through MoveWith.
  • Kick It By Eliza: The popular kickboxing-inspired workout comes to the The Street on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. (starting June 7) and Saturdays at 10 a.m. (starting June 4). Register for Tuesday or Saturday classes through MoveWith.
  • Strollfit Baby Bootcamp: New and expecting mothers are invited to bring the baby to this full-body strength and cardio class. It starts up June 9, and will run every Thursday thereafter starting at 9:30 a.m. Register through MoveWith.

Stay tuned, free fitness fans. Many other gratis series will be starting up in the coming months.
