The Color Run Hits Gillette Next Month
If the Color Run’s last stop in Boston still has you washing color powder out of your clothes, it’s time to put away the bleach. The so-called “Happiest 5K on the Planet” is coming back to Massachusetts for its fifth anniversary.
For those unfamiliar, the Color Run is a
great Instagram opportunity low-key, un-timed 5K during which runners are doused in color powder that “mostly” comes out of clothes and shoes. It’s followed by a massive post-race party involving music, dancing, and, yes, more color throws.
The Color Run’s 2016 theme is “Tropicolor.” Expect inflatable palm trees, beach balls, leis, and island-inspired tunes.
The festivities come to Gillette Stadium on June 11. Regular registration costs $50, and includes race entry, a t-shirt, a medal, and a headband. For an extra $15, the deluxe kit includes a trucker hat, lei, and sunglasses.
Starts at $50, 10 a.m., 6/11. One Patriot Place, Foxboro, thecolorrun.com.
