A new partnership among six local studios may give ClassPass a run for its money—if only for a week.

Bikram Yoga Boston, Cyc Fitness, David Barton Gym, EveryBodyFights, MyStryde, and Pure Barre are working together to form the Fitness Collective. For a flat rate of $75, Fitness Collective members can take one class at each of the studios, and receive unlimited access to David Barton Gym. The catch is that all classes must be taken between June 20 and 27—so if you sign up, you’d better be ready to commit.

While $75 is a bit of an investment, paying drop-in rates at each of those studios would run you well over $100. Plus, the Fitness Collective will donate 15 percent of each purchase to the Pan Mass Challenge, an annual bike-a-thon that benefits the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Your purchase also gets you 15 percent off at Pure Glow Organic, Pressed, MiniLuxe, and PlateJoy.

Alexandra Blodgett, cofounder of Cyc Fitness, helped organize the event not only to provide a service to consumers, but to create a sense of unity within the often-splintered boutique fitness industry. “Why are all these studios standing alone rather than coming together?” Blodgett says. “We all want the same thing in the end.”

Can’t make it to this summer’s event? Don’t sweat it. Blodgett says she hopes to make the Fitness Collective an annual or twice-yearly event moving forward.
