Earlier this year, the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) put your yoga studio to shame with its class series held inside an art installation. Now, it’s giving you another gorgeous place to practice.

Every Monday afternoon from June 20 through October 1, the PEM will host a class on the picturesque lawn beside the Ropes Mansion. Classes are an hour long, weather dependent, and cost $13. No reservations are required, but bring your own mat.

The historic Ropes Mansion was built in 1727, and has been preserved—with some original furnishings and all—as an interactive display of 18th century life. The house closed to the public after a 2009 fire, but reopened last spring. With the new yoga series, the PEM invites visitors to explore its grounds as never before.

If you can’t make it to Salem this summer, don’t worry. There’s also plenty of (free!) outdoor fitness right here in Boston.

$13, 4:30 p.m., Mondays. 318 Essex St., Salem, pem.org.
