Take Free Fitness Classes on the Greenway This Summer

The 2016 schedule includes yoga, bootcamp, Pilates, tango, and more.

There’s always something happening on the Rose Kennedy Greenway, from Glow in the Park to Boston Calling Block Parties. And of course, we’d be remiss to ignore the Greenway’s bustling schedule of free fitness events.

The Greenway brings together a network of instructors and organizations, meaning you’ll find a varied assortment of classes taking place on its grounds. Here’s what you can expect this summer:

UpLifted Fitness: This functional training group will host a free post-work class every Monday, from now through September. Classes are held at 470 Atlantic Avenue at 6 p.m.

MSL Pilates Bootcamp: For the fourth year, instructor Ali Baldassare is teaching her cardio-core-Pilates fusion class on the Greenway. It kicks off June 13, and will be held every other Monday starting at 6:30 p.m., located at the intersection of Cross Street and Salem Street. Register here.

No-Sweat Lunchtime Yoga: Brought to you by Yoga Hub, this 30-minute gentle class will get you moving—but keep you looking fresh for that afternoon meeting. It’s held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m., in Chinatown Park.

Happy Hour Yoga: On Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., Yoga Hub will help you unwind from your work day with free vinyasa yoga. Class will be held in North End Park, at the intersection of Hanover Street and Cross Street.

Bootcamp: Hosted by Next Level Fitness, this body weight bootcamp class will be held every Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. Class will be at the corner of Cross Street and Hanover Street.

Tango in the Park: Starting July 9, Ultimate Tango will host free tango sessions from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with lessons at 7 p.m. The fun will be at High Street and Atlantic Avenue.

Republic Fitness Bootcamp: Republic Fitness will host a tabata bootcamp class on the Greenway every Saturday morning and Tuesday evening. Saturday classes start at 10 a.m. at the Wharf District Parcel, and Tuesday classes start at 5:30 p.m. at the North End Parcel.
