Pokémon Go has already helped masses of people get their daily 10,000 steps. Now, a local studio is launching a fitness class inspired by the mobile gaming phenomenon.

On August 10, Swet Studio will hold an outdoor “PokeFit” class—because, apparently, the city’s green space just hasn’t hosted enough mobile gamers yet.

The event will be a HIIT class with a gaming twist. Students will visit various PokeStops along the Esplanade, completing a circuit of high-intensity drills and exercises at each one. Then, during breaks, students will turn to the application and try to catch some Pokémon. Nothing goes with a water break like a Squirtle, are we right?

PokeFit is a one-time thing for now, but a Swet representative says it may “evolve”—pun intended?—into a recurring offering if there’s a high level of interest.

$30, 8/10, 7:30 p.m. Charles River Esplanade, Boston. Register at swetstudio.com.
