What do you listen to when you run? Some Beyoncé? A little Bruce? A perfectly curated playlist?

Forget all of that this Sunday. The Brookline Symphony Orchestra is hosting its annual 5K, a fun run and walk set to live classical music. Orchestra members will be positioned along the race course, serenading you with the sweet sounds of cellos, violins, harps, and more. You’ll surely accelerando with notes of Mahler and Mozart dancing in your ears.

The race course winds around the Chestnut Hill Reservoir twice, so the scenery won’t be half bad, either. If running isn’t your thing, you may also walk the course. Jogging strollers are welcome, too.

The run kicks off at 10 a.m., so you can count on a workout and a cultural immersion by the time you sit down for brunch. We say bravo to that.

$30, 10 a.m., 9/25. Chestnut Hill Reservoir, 2400 Beacon St., Brookline, brooklinesymphony.org.
