A Local Fitness Instructor Launched a Luxe Activewear Line

The Boston area is a hotbed of fitness studios, fitness instructors, and fitness fans. With so many people exercising all the time, it’s only logical that we’d be a hub for athleisure, too.

The latest contributor to the activewear scene is Alissa Pool, one of the owners of local Megaformer Pilates-focused chain Btone Fitness. She’s behind Aurum, a just-launched line of sportswear out to make your raggedy t-shirts and stretched-out leggings look bad.

Aurum—the Latin word for gold—is a fashionable collection of workout basics, all made from a two-ply fabric meant to simultaneously wick sweat away from the body and dry moisture in a flash. Leggings, sports bras, and tops make up the majority of the line, but there’s also a bodysuit for those who treat the gym like a catwalk.

The new line is mainly sold online at the moment, but Pool plans to bring select pieces to Btone’s Wellesley location, where she is also an instructor. Here’s a sneak peek:
