Finding your favorite fitness instructor is a lot like dating. You’ll likely have to suffer through your fair share of bad dates—in this case, cringe-inducing Zumba classes and mind-numbing Spin sessions—before you find The One: the teacher who inspires you to carve hours out of your precious free time to attend his or her class day after day, week after week.
When you finally click with somebody, it’s magical. But since finding an instructor worth sweating for is no easy task, ClassPass’ Most Moving Instructors of the Year selections, released last week, may make your life a little easier.
For the second year in a row, ClassPass awarded its top Boston honors to Colin Batty, a cycling instructor at Flywheel, and Kelly Brabants, who teaches classes including her cult-favorite Booty by Brabants at the former BFX Studio and EverybodyFights. Brabants and Batty were chosen by ClassPass based on Boston users’ nominations.
Not sure tap-backs and booty-shaping squats are for you? MoveWith also recently released its list of top local instructors, as voted by users of the class-booking platform. The long list boasts teachers—including Batty and Brabants—promoting just about every style of fitness, from yoga to kickboxing. Peruse the whole list here.
Happy searching, and may you find your fitness soulmate.
