As snow continues to accumulate, Boston Children’s Hospital is watching its blood supplies diminish.

The hospital tweeted Friday that last week’s blizzard has left its blood bank “in urgent need of blood and platelets.” The tweet adds that, “You’re just the type we need,”—meaning every donation helps, particularly as the state continues to weather winter storms.

Interested donors can schedule an appointment with the Boston Children’s Blood Donor Center on any day except Monday and Saturday. Click here to schedule an appointment.

In the giving mood? Boston Children’s likely isn’t the only local institution affected by the snow. You can also visit Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Kraft Family Blood Donor Center; the Massachusetts General Hospital Blood Donor Center; or these Massachusetts Red Cross sites.
