The Boston Marathon has a new partner, in luxury gym Equinox.

The Boston Athletic Association announced Tuesday a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the upscale sports club, which opened its first Boston location in 2007, just steps away from the race’s finish line.

As a sponsor, Equinox will be present at the race’s starting and finish lines. In Hopkinton, it will help runners get in the zone with pre-race guided meditations. Past the finish line on Boylston Street, “Equinox will have an experiential presence connecting with spectators, family, and friends of runners,” according to a statement.

“We are proud to partner with Equinox, which shares the same values and beliefs toward athletics as the B.A.A.,” the organization’s CEO, Tom Grilk, says in a statement.

Equinox joins John Hancock, Adidas, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital as major partners of the Boston Marathon. (Boston magazine is also a sponsor.)
