A soon-to-open yoga studio is committed to making health and wellness accessible to all.

Four Corners Yoga and Wellness, which is slated to open this spring in Dorchester, is the joint vision of Christine Rose, a Dorchester resident, and Karuna O’Donnell, who has worked and taught there for a decade. The duo wanted to bring health resources to a neighborhood where they’re somewhat scarce, while adding to the community’s rich culture.

Four Corners will offer yoga and massage in a welcoming environment, taking pains to keep both at a manageable price point, O’Donnell says. In addition to mixed levels, flow, restorative, 12-step recovery, and Yin yoga, the studio will offer eight $5 community classes—including some at weekday prime times and on weekends—each week. O’Donnell also hopes to partner with local nonprofits and community organizations to sponsor additional affordable workshops and class series.

The studio, one of only a few in Dorchester, is set to have a soft opening in April, and a grand opening in June.
