After announcing its plans to open a retail location in Boston last year, L.L. Bean has set a grand opening of its first urban store for Friday, April 6 at 9 a.m. The entire weekend will be dedicated to celebrating the opening, and the first 100 customers in line will receive an L.L. Bean gift card worth between $10 and $500.

Friday’s festivities will also include a Red Sox player meet and greet, with Jim Rice, Luis Tiant, and Dennis Eckersley scheduled to attend, as well as photo opportunities with the World Championship trophies. Naturally, Wally the Green Monster will be there, too. So make sure your selfie skills are on point—you don’t want to keep Eck waiting.

On Saturday and Sunday, enjoy free outdoor yoga with Equinox at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m., while a block party with games and giveaways runs from 12-6 p.m. Also on Saturday, you can bring your canine companion for a group dog walk with Instagram dog celebrity Millie of Maine, and enter to win a free trip for two to Maine and one of ten pairs of Red Sox tickets.

“Boston is a city that’s as passionate about the outdoors as we are,” Greg Elder, vice president of stores at L.L. Bean, said in a press release. “We’re excited to bring the outdoor spirit to the heart of Boston at our first city store, and get to know the vibrant Seaport community.”

The store will join the thriving community at One Seaport, which boasts 250,000 square feet of planned space for restaurants, fitness centers and more. They’re in good company, too, with emerging dining options like Tuscan Kitchen and 75 on Courthouse Square opening late last year.

“For the Seaport to be L.L. Bean’s first urban location not only marks retail history, but also speaks volumes to the power of the neighborhood on a national and international scale,” Todd Norley, Vice President of Leasing WS Development, says in the press release. “With L.L. Bean’s culture epitomizing all that is great about the New England outdoors, I can’t think of a more suiting city home for it than One Seaport.”
