The 2018 Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series Schedule Is Out

Enjoy free fitness June 4-September 29 with classes in parks all around the city of Boston.

Mark your calendars and get ready to head to your nearest neighborhood park—the Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series is back June 4. With the scorching 80 degree weather these past couple days, parks were already bustling, but we have even more of a reason to celebrate now that the schedule for this summer’s series has come out. There are 30 class offerings this year and the series lasts all the way until September 29.

Kicking things off will be a launch event at Copley Square on May 31 with free zumba, line dancing, t-shirts, fanny packs, and more.

Here’s what you can expect:

Mondays

  • Zumba at the North End’s Christopher Columbus Park (6 p.m.)
  • Salsa Dancing at the South End’s Blackstone Square (6 p.m.)
  • Carnival Fit at Dorchester’s Harambee Park (6 p.m.)
  • Afrobeat Bootcamp at Roxbury’s Malcom X Park (6 p.m.)
  • Yoga at Dorchester’s Mother’s Rest at 4 Corners (6:30 p.m.)

Tuesdays

  • Chair Yoga at Fenway’s Symphony Park (10 a.m.)
  • Bootcamp at Dorchester’s Elmhurst Park (6 p.m.)
  • Yoga at South Boston’s Medal of Honor Park at M Street (6 p.m.)
  • Cardio Dance at Hyde Park’s Ross Playground (6 p.m.)
  • Zumba at Roxbury’s Gertrude Howes Playground (6 p.m.)
  • Line Dancing at West Roxbury’s Billings Field (6 p.m.)

Wednesdays

  • Chair yoga at Chinatown’s Elliot Norton Park (10 a.m.)
  • Family Zumba at East Boston’s LoPresti Park (6 p.m.)
  • HIIT at Mission Hill’s Mission Hill Playground (6 p.m.)
  • Yoga at Brighton’s Brighton Common (6 p.m.)
  • Line Dancing at Dorchester’s Franklin Park (6:30 p.m.)

Thursdays

  • Gentle Yoga at the North End’s Christopher Columbus Park (10 a.m.)
  • Tai Chi (last class July 26) at Fenway’s Symphony Park (10 a.m.)
  • Yoga (presented by KIND) at Boston Common (6 p.m.)
  • Yoga at Roxbury’s Marcella Playground (6 p.m.)
  • Zumba Kids at Mattapan’s Hunt/Almont Park (6 p.m.)

Fridays

  • Bootcamp at the North End’s Christopher Columbus Park (6:30 a.m.)
  • Walking group at South Boston’s Moakley Park (10 a.m.)

Saturdays

  • Walking Group at Dorchester’s Franklin Park (8 a.m.)
