The only thing we love more than free summer fitness is free summer fitness that lasts well into September and has more than just fitness offerings. It’s called balance after all, and summer really is about how many outdoor activities we can fit into a three month time span. Because we all know we can only soak in the sun for so long up here in New England.
Chestnut Hill’s free outdoor programming Summertime at the Street, located at the outdoor shopping center The Street, returns this year on June 1 with the fitness series kicking off on June 2. The schedule is jam packed with over 100 events and will last until September 26 so you can ward off the back-to-school depression for just a little bit longer.
New additions to the fitness lineup include 305 Fitness and Forme Barre. 305 Fitness is a dance cardio inspired workout and just opened a Boston flagship studio in Fenway, after renting space in what was once the BSC Lab. Forme Barre is a Nantucket-based barre studio and is planning to open at The Street later this summer. Back by popular demand are Kick It By Eliza and The Street’s signature evening yoga class, Yoga Under the Stars.
There’s truly a little bit for everyone included in this lineup and when you get tired, hungry, or thirsty The Street’s many stores have you covered. We’d consider that a major win.
