The sun is shining, the temperatures are rising, and Boston’s parks are overflowing with activities. Ditch the gloomy interior of your gym this summer and trade it for an outdoor park. The Boston Parks summer fitness series schedule is out and there are plenty of class offerings to fit pretty much anyone’s fancy.

On May 30 the series kicks off with a launch party in Copley Square from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. The evening is complete with free class demos, t-shirts, tote bags, and more.

Classes begin June 3 and conclude on September 28. The series includes things like bootcamp, cardio dance, high intensity interval training, and yoga (of course). Lesser known classes like an Afro-Caribbean group dance class, QiGong, Tai Chi, and line dancing will also be offered as well as salsa dancing, Zumba, and family fitness. The line-up hits on every aspect of fitness, so you’re bound to find something that you enjoy.
