Savor Blueberry Season with These Nine Healthy Blueberry Recipes

Bonus points if you pick the berries yourself.

Watermelon, cherries, peaches, strawberries—the list of juicy summer fruit we can’t get enough of goes on and on. But one of our favorites is the little blueberry.

Blueberries contain high levels of antioxidants, which may help the body reduce inflammation and boost the immune system. They also contain high levels of Vitamin C and fiber and are low in calories.

This fruit is also versatile in the kitchen and can be used in both sweet and savory recipes. To give you a taste of blueberries in all their forms, we put together a list of healthy blueberry recipes you can make for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and dessert.

2. Blueberry Smoothie

Greek yogurt adds protein to the smoothie, while oats and blueberries provide fiber to keep you full. If you are dairy-free and need to add protein, you can also add a scoop of protein powder.

3. Blueberry Baked Oatmeal Muffins

These muffins are flourless and use oats and bananas as their base. Because this recipe uses chia seeds or ground flaxseed, let the batter sit for five minutes before scooping into the muffin tin.
