What is your background, education and training?

Originally from Japan, Atsu studied Interior Design at New England School of Art and Design. Upon graduation, she started her career in Boston at the office of the legendary interior designer, William Hodgins as a Junior Architectural Interior Designer. Atsu was professionally trained for both architecture and interior design and led high-profile residential and commercial projects for a number of award wining interior designers and architectural firms in Boston and in New York City for 16 years before she started her own firm in 2014.

What inspired your passion for your profession?

Traveling and seeing different designs and life styles.

What is the best reaction you’ve ever received from a client?

When we were finishing a project, my client said "I just bought another house so that we can keep working together!". I was thrilled.

How many years have you been in business?

A twenty-year veteran of the industry, both in high-end residential and hospitality design.
