Critics say this city has no style. We’re here to prove them wrong. Welcome to HubThreads, where we chat with the most stylish people we find out and about in Boston. Think you or someone you know has the best street style? Let us know.

MARIA

Where are you from? Connecticut.

How long have you been in Boston? I started college in Boston in 2009 and have been here ever since, so almost 10 years!

What neighborhood do you live in? Quincy, MA.

How would you describe your style? Classic, but with a twist. Today I’m wearing a simple white dress from Ouimillie, but adding a leather jacket makes it more me.

Do you have any style icons? Arielle Charnas of Something Navy is my all-time favorite blogger and someone I inspire to be. How she’s taken her brand from blogging to creating a fashion line with Nordstrom is incredible and an ultimate goal of mine. I am a huge fan.

Any places in Boston that you love to shop? Ouimillie in Beacon Hill. Shop owner, Millicent Cutler, has amazing style, is incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the fashion industry. Everything available in her store is super unique and hard to find anywhere else in the U.S., which I love.

What do you do? By day I’m a Senior Account Manager at Kortenhaus Communications, and by night, the voice behind fashion & lifestyle blog, Blonde Meets City.

Have you always been interested in fashion? Yes! When I was a little girl I would steal clothes from my mom’s and aunt’s closets and style them. When I was younger, my godmother worked at Neiman Marcus and always styled me in the best clothes.

What’s your favorite thing in your closet? A vintage Fendi bag my mom gave me that was gifted to her by my grandmother. It is a little worn, but it means so much to me and I hope to pass it on to my daughter someday.

What is the favorite thing that you’ve purchased recently? A few items from Arielle Charnas’ collaboration with Nordstrom. There are some really amazing pieces at affordable prices. She plans on launching an additional collection in December, which I’m super excited about.
