The 2019 Women’s Lunch Place Spaghetti Dinner took place on October 18, 2019, at The Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston. The night began with a silent auction as guests enjoyed to performances by live ballroom dancers and WLP’s “Guest Chorus.” In Spaghetti Dinner tradition, table hosts donned chef’s jackets & hats and served a family-style dinner.

During the program, attendees heard from Linda Dorcena Forry, an Honoree who delivered a powerful message about the increasing need for affordable housing and the importance of supporting WLP’s mission. The night ended with the After Party, hosted by WLP Young Professionals. Guests enjoyed dessert, dancing, and entertainment. Over $119,000 was raised to support the vital services and programs offered by Women’s Lunch Place.

For decades, Women’s Lunch Place has effectively responded to the challenges facing women experiencing poverty and homelessness. They care for each woman with dignity and foster her resilience, while offering opportunities for her to choose a path forward. This year, WLP served over 104,715 meals and provided assistance to over 1,500 women. This annual dinner is critical to ensuring that Women’s Lunch Place can continue to meet the increasing requests for help from women in need.
