Red Sox legend and Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez hosted the fourth annual Pedro Martinez Foundation Gala along with his wife Carolina Martinez, Executive Director of the Foundation. The star-studded evening at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston was hosted by WCVB’s anchor Maria Stephanos. Pedro and Carolina Martinez spoke about the Foundation’s impact and breaking ground on the vocational charter school in the Dominican Republic to provide comprehensive and advanced education for more than 1,700 children every day. In addition to bringing hundreds of Bostonians together to raise funds and celebrate all the work the Foundation has accomplished to date, the Gala welcomed Red Sox legends David Ortiz and Jason Varitek, Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., two-time MLB All-Star, 4x MLB All-Star Jose Reyes, and Gold Glove Award winner Carlos Gomez, among other MLB legends.
