International School of Foul Language

I’ve been hooked on crime logs for years, particularly those run by the South End News and the BPD’s blog. The best ones portray unhinged mayhem in the driest possible fashion. The result borders on a certain twisted elegance. This chestnut comes from BPDNews.com (third item down). Read it twice and revel in the mental image.

At about 11:14pm, on Saturday, August 11, 2007, officers from Area D-14 (Brighton) responded to a radio call for a loud party at 200 Lake Street. On arrival, officers were approached by an individual who stated that he had just been attacked by a group of kids who had been drinking and making noise in an area behind the International School of Language. According to the victim, a white male, wearing a white Celtics shirt, threw a beer bottle at him that struck the victim in the head. The victim refused medical attention.
