Breaking News: Marc Jacobs GM to Chanel

Okay, so it’s not “Breaking News: Posh and Becks to the White House” or anything, but it’s sufficiently notable within the world of Boston retail that Newbury Street vet Mary Nobile-King has officially resigned as Marc Jacobs’ general manager (could it be the store’s 2007 Best of Boston win helped ink MNK’s new deal? We’ll tell ourselves it did.) Starting September 24, MNK will move from 81 Newbs to helm the Chanel boutique at #9.
