National Eat Dinner Together Week

1190401523Time to rally the home team: Now through Sunday, it’s National Eat Dinner Together Week, a campaign devoted to getting Americans to simply sit down and eat a meal together. It’s sponsored by the, um, National Pork Board. Which is a little awkward considering the pork organization scheduled the event during the Jewish High Holidays.

But, hey, it’s a good cause. In some families, every week is National Eat Dinner Together Week, but some of you could probably use a reminder. So ditch the drive-through and spend an evening with the family. Or call a friend. (And if you don’t know how to cook and you eat pork, the Pork Board has some recipes on their website).
