Another Day, Another Electrical Device Causes a Bomb Scare

On our way into Boston Daily HQ today, we had the treat of finding Mass. Ave closed off. After a long walk to Kendall Square to pick up a diverted 1 bus, we were wondering what it was that delayed our commute. After we finally made it in, we found out it’s another situation for the bomb squad.

Somebody taped their old TV to the base of a light pole.

Lt. Steven Ahern of the bomb squad said the squad destroyed the TV with a high-pressure water jet. Police said they were still investigating who left the devise there.

They also say they’ve talked to witnesses who may have seen someone measuring the pole the day before.
