The Epstein Family Grows While We Mourn
When Red Sox General Manager Theo Epstein got married, we temporarily lost our capacity to love. We never met the guy, but we fell in love with his wholesome good looks, intelligence, and ability to get great Sox tickets. Once we moved past the grief of losing him, we consoled ourselves with the idea that maybe it wouldn’t last.
Unfortunately for us, Theo seems pretty serious about this whole “starting a family” thing. He and his wife, Marie Whitney, welcomed their first child yesterday morning.
Let’s learn about the boy we’ll refer to as our future stepson.
It’s better late than never for Red Sox GM Theo Epstein and wife Marie Whitney, who gave birth yesterday to the couple’s first child, a healthy baby boy named Jack. Originally due Saturday, the baby, weighing 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and measuring 20.5 inches, was delivered at 10:35 a.m. at a Boston hospital.
No weird name? No Yankees-hating initials? We don’t quite know what to make of all this.
Seriously, we’re happy Theo’s happy and that mother and baby are doing well. And there are other men we can date for good seats at Fenway. John Henry’s still single, right?
