Last week, we lamented the upcoming nor’easter’s impact on our holiday theatergoing plans. Despite our best attempts to unload our tickets on Craigslist, we couldn’t find a buyer and figured we were out $50 without the pleasure of hearing Brian O’Donovan’s soothing Irish brogue at A Christmas Celtic Sojourn. But we’ve just had our very own Christmas miracle.
The fine people at WGBH have added an additional show this Thursday at 8 p.m. to accommodate everyone who couldn’t make it out to the performances last Thursday and Sunday.
Patrons with unused tickets who wish to receive snow passes for the added performance can call the Cutler Majestic Theatre Box office at 617-824-8000 or visit the theatre box office during regular hours (10am-6pm.)
We called the Majestic and will have our snow passes waiting for us on Thursday evening. While it’s not as convenient a time as our Sunday matinée, we’re just happy we don’t have to wrap our unused tickets in a box to prove we weren’t lying about going. An additional bonus? We got to bake some cookies while we were snowed in. It’s a win-win.
