Hillary Cries, Part II

1202153347There has been a lot of crying around New England today. Whether they’re tears of sorrow over the Patriots loss or tears of joy from Giants fans, everybody’s a little emotional. Even Hillary Clinton.

Yes, the woman whose tears may have won New Hampshire is getting misty again.

At a campaign stop in Connecticut, Clinton got emotional when a public interest lawyer she worked with in the 1970’s said nice things about her commitment to children. (MSNBC has the video.)

“Here is the abiding truth we know you have always been a champion for children. Welcome home, dear friend. We are so proud of you,” [Penn Rhodeen] said.

“I said I would not tear up. Already we’re not on that path,” Clinton replied to laughs.

It looks like Hillary’s emotional day won’t end in Connecticut.

Clinton was making stops later Monday in Massachusetts and in New York, where she was taping the Letterman show and hosting a 90-minute town hall meeting to be broadcast live on the Hallmark Channel.

The Hallmark Channel? Was Lifetime too busy running a movie about our relationship with Mitt Romney? Our plan to go home and curl up with a pint of Chunky Monkey and watch reruns of MASH has been foiled. Great, now we’re getting emotional too.
