Stars Come to Boston for the Oscars
By the end of the weekend, Boston Daily expects to be BFF with Christine Elise McCarthy. The object of our male writers’ affection opens her photography exhibit on Friday night in Allston, and she is one of the celebrity VIPs that will attend Sunday’s Boston Rocks the Oscars.
The names of the stars who will be in town for the benefit party have been released, and made us even more excited for the festivities.
Not only will the super-cool Christine Elise be in attendance, but fellow Boston-born actress Trudi Goodman from Gone Baby Gone will be watching the ceremony to see if costar Amy Adams wins a statue for Best Supporting Actress. Director Dave McLaughlin will be in attendance, along with On Broadway cast member Robert Wahlberg. Miss Massachusetts (and lingerie expert) Jacqueline Bruno will walk the red carpet as well.
Tickets are still available for the event, which benefits the Ellie Fund. If you need us, we’ll be putting ourselves on a grapefruit juice and hot sauce diet to detox for the big night.
