Free Cab Rides on St. Patrick’s Day (Seriously)

1205175779One of the worst things about St. Patrick’s Day revelry is trying to get a ride home. As bars empty out and cabs fill up, there you are, drunkenly flailing about in a desperate bid to find your pad. More often than not, you end up taking a long walk.

Unless you celebrate the holiday in Cambridge.

The Cambridge Chronicle reports that the Cambridge Licensee Advisory Board will provide free cab rides to a residential address from any Cambridge establishment that serves alcohol this Saturday and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. Your driver will give you a free ride up to $35, and will drop you off in any city or town. (You should still probably tip your driver, with gas well over $3 a gallon.)

Get to the Plough and Stars early and pretend like you have connections with the cab dispatcher. We won’t tell.
