We’re Still Partial to the John Kerry Burger
One of our favorite burger joints, Mr. Bartley’s Burger Cottage in Cambridge has introduced a new treat to its line of politically-influenced burgers: The Spitzer Burger. A Cambridge blog called Bloggin with Mr. Cooper got a photo of an ad at Bartley’s that reads: Hot and Sexy and you save $4,291.01.
We talked to owner Bill Bartley and he said the burger, which has cajun spices and blue cheese, is selling well. He also said he couldn’t wait to introduce it.
“The second I saw him up there, I knew we had to have a Spitzer burger,” Bartley said. “Eliot, bless him, inspired me. I’m watching him up there, and my wife said, ‘You can’t do that.’ When I told her what was going to be on it she said, ‘Oh, that sounds good.’ And it is.”
As for the price, slightly cheaper than a few hours with the Emperor’s Club, Bartley added, “It’s a bargain. And you get to keep your job, and your wife. The only person happier than me about this is the Lieutenant Governor.”
