It took him four months, but Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter has decided that he’s finished with Spygate. As you may recall, the senator was outraged when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell destroyed the Patriots’ tapes of defensive signals, and called for a congressional investigation into the shenanigans.
It looks like he finally realized there’s a war on.
Specter told the [Philadelphia Daily News’] editorial board Monday that “I’ve gone as far as I can,” looking into allegations that the New England Patriots taped other teams’ defensive signals.
He told the paper the Judiciary Committee already has “too much to do.”
Like, serve its actual function in the government?
