This issue marks out 37th year of highlighting the very Best of Boston. As usual, we’re giving you a taste of the good life, revealing the finest places to chow down, suit up, and get polished. This year we’ve gone even further, dreaming up 67 debut categories, from best CSA to best handbag designer. But our affection for this city transcends any collection of stores, restaurants, and services. It’s more fundamental than that, which is why this celebration of local superlatives features something totally new: essays by an all-star cast of writers who explain what they love most about the Hub. In other words—it’s the same great Best of Boston, only better.
