According to the court filing, Boston police, the Boston Fire Department, and the Boston Health Department complain that the protesters’ camp is a public safety problem, violating the city’s health and fire codes. “If there is a problem with public safety, I will remove them. If there is a public health issue, I am not going to stand for that either. I understand their cause but when it comes to public safety, I am going to enforce the laws,” Mayor Menino said.
