Quirky Tours with HipHost

Forget tramping around with a fanny pack-toting mob while a costumed guide barks out historic facts.

Boston startup HipHost lists small tours led by locals in various cities for visitors and natives alike who are looking for out-of-the-box experiences. Current area offerings include:

A street wear walk around Cambridge and Newbury Street
An eight-mile run-and-chat through the South End and the Seaport District
A gluten-free jaunt in the North End

And, if my plans ever take me to the Lonestar State, I’ll hop aboard the $14 “Weird Austin” experience, which promises chicken sh*t bingo (?!).

HipHost is also looking for guides — you can make extra cash by sharing your random knowledge on New England tree species and Southie’s dive bars. Personally, I’d like to hunt down the best sticky bun in Boston. Who’s with me? (Elastic waist pants suggested.)
