Will Massachusetts Ban Plastic Water Bottles? Taking a leaf from Concord’s recent ouster, state senator Cynthia Creem, D-Newton, proposed an amendment to the state’s Bottle Bill that would extend the bill to include water bottles — or ban them entirely starting in July 2013. As written, the bill encourages residents to recycle bottles from beer, malt beverages, carbonated soft drinks, and mineral water. [CBS]
