In Texting While Driving Case, Haverhill Teen Guilty of Motor Vehicle Homicide
Aaron Deveau, 18, was convicted this morning of motor vehicle homicide and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. The case marks one of the first prosecutions under the state law that makes it a crime to injure someone in a crash due to texting. Deveau was 17 at the time of the February 2011 crash that killed Donald Bowley Jr., 55. [Globe]
